Then, Beautiful World, last Arashi concert.
My copy will arrive in about 2-3 weeks, but I've watched it already (as always XD but I haven't watched Waku Waku yet)

Premise: I loved AAA2008 and 5x10, they're my favourite Arashi concerts, but I prefer stadium concerts than Kokoritsu ones. I'm happy that Arashi can perform at the national stadium, but I don't understand why they put Kokoritsu dates on DVD (even when there's a damn thyphoon O_O)
Kokoritsu is so big that, for the sake of reaching all the fans, the boys have to spen most of the time going around the stadium. So, there's less interaction between them. So, there are less of those funny/cute/moments we love so much. And it's really dispersive: the 5 of them going around, screens so that people seated far away can see them, screens with random videos (sometimes terrible, like the one for Jun's solo o.o), and every 3 seconds we have an image of the sky/that strange cloud/Kokoritsu from far above/audience (which, let's said it, isn't so interesting: a sea of uchiwas + bored people + middle aged people cosplaying Kaibutsu-kun. I only approve the child with binoculars)
Honestly, I don't care of how dark the sky was/how big Kokoritsu is. really, I don't give a fuck.
Yes, from an artistic/videographic/Idon't know point of you it may be good, but not from mine, because DVD is the only way I can watch those boys perform.
So, for the future: less landscape and more Arashi, please
And this is one of my 2 main critiques (I'll talk about the other one later)

But the first song was Believe, and who knows me can understand my happiness *_* (Believe is my fav. Arashi song) It's not even their best performance of it, btu who cares. Also, it was LIVE! Totally live!! Like most of the concert!!! *tears of joy*
I still curse when I re-think about how much playback there was in Scene concert.
I can understand (but not approve) the use of playback douring music shows and some parts of the concert, but... not for the most of it O_O
I want to hear their 'real' voices! I want to hear how awesome Ohno's voice is (do we want to talk about his final 'for' of A.RA.SHI? I was on the verge of tears), I like to hear everyone's voices peculiarities... fuck, I even like hearing the duck which lives in Matsujun's throat!
So I'm happy that this tima, especially douring the first half, there was less playback.

The songs choice was particular...
I was happy to find songs like Everybody Zenshin, Natsu no Namae (♥), Boku ga Boku no Subete (♥♥♥♥), but then they sang songs that they've already performed like 100 times while... Negai? Joy?
The tour has the same name of the album, so at least there should be all its songs O:O

About solo performances.
-Shake it!: I don't understand if I didn't like it or if it left me totally unimpressed... Maybe it's because I'm not so sensitive when it come sto shirtless-Jun. He's thin (well, now he has some muscles, but in that period he was really slim o.o) and he has lady-like hips O_O So, I didn't find him sexy or sensual... being sexy doesn't mean moving your hips all the time. Also, I find Jun sexy when he does other things. So, meh
-Kono Mama Motto: .......... I hate this song. Plus, Sho was awfully dressed and at the end he did a... kind of... dance... which was... like... NO. Just no
-Janakute: I'm sad. Because the song is nice, Aiba was wonderful and the coreography was super cute and... it was in playback. Why?? T___T Anyway, after Ohno, Aiba is the best dancer among Arashi, and he proved it once again u_u
-Hung up on: do I really have to comment it? This man is awesome. He's the perfection personified
-A song you can find anywhere (aka Doko ni Demo Aru Uta): I liked it a lot. The song is my favourite solo of the album, and the performance was fantastic: it was super intense! With Konseki's one, this is without a doubt Nino's best performance *_*

Random things I wrote while watching the concert
-Aiba is a wonderful creature (yeah, this is my first and most relevant impression U_U)
-Wind is Sho's worst enemy
-Someone please cover Sho's forehead
-Sho's forehead is ROUND and BIG
-There are 5 Teletubbies in Niji no Kakera O_O
-Jun, button your shirt
-Ohno's hair are waterproof
-Nino seriously needed and haircut (while now he has a polenta on his head... oh, Neen T_T)
-Lotus gave me goosebumps
-Hey, wait a minute... WHERE'S THE MC?
-Aiba is REALLY handsome
-...and the MC?

And we arrive to my second critique.
I don't even know how to say it... it's not that it was boring... but... it hasn't been funny.
The fact is. Do you know what's the great thing about Arashi? Not their singing/dancing abilities, nor the fact that they host funny shows (also because Himitsu has been for months boring as hell, and Shiyagare is not always good). Their good point is the way they interact with each other. And, in this concert, they didn't interact at all.
There weren't funny scenes, fanservice, there wasn't even the MC.... WTH

So.
There were things that I liked, but overall this wasn't their best concert D:

Concordo sulle riprese, fanno schifo =_=''' Però quest'anno sembra che regista e direttore del montaggio abbiano quasi fatto pace col Capitano, gli ultimi due anni gli era andata molto peggio. In compenso se ne sono inventati un'altra: inquadriamo lo schermo in cui è inquadrato Tizio invece che direttamente lui, che tocco artistico!!!

E concordo sulla scaletta, un sacco di canzoni già fatte anche l'anno scorso, l'abbastanza inutile Crazy Moon e niente Joy e Negai, bah .__.

Invece a me è sembrato che il playback abbia spopolato anche stavolta e oltre a quello pure l'audio editing in fase di montaggio. =_=''' La data è la stessa dei pezzetti che han fatto vedere allo Shonen Club Works, lì si sentiva benissimo che 5x10 era dal vivo, nel DVD è diventata magicamente in qualità CD...
MA PERCHÈ??? ç___ç

Insomma alla fine mi ha fatto ovviamente piacere vederlo, ci sono momenti e cose carine come sempre, però non mi sono entusiasmata più di tanto, ecco .__.

Sì, si inventano queste riprese del cavolo... ma che mi frega di vederlo attraverso lo schermo? Fammelo vedere direttamente o.o

Rispetto allo Scene, nella prima metà mi è sembrato di sentirne di meno... però hai ragione, nella seconda metà ce n'era davvero tantissimo. Poi su 5x10... ç_ç

Poi è un loro concerto, alla fine è sempre una bella cosa da guardare, però... sì, mi aspettavo di più u.u

Oggi pomeriggio mi son fatta del male ascoltando la registrazione di una data di Osaka a gennaio... se da una parte mi consola sapere che invece cantano parecchio dal vivo, dall'altra sono incazzata come una biscia per quello che poi ci becchiamo in DVD. Io i soldi glieli do per sentire anche ogni stonatura =__=''' è evidente che abbiamo idee diverse il vecchiaccio e noi =__=

Io sto vedendo ora ora il disco 2, ma posso dire che concordo per alcune cose, con altre concordo di meno... ma quelli temo siano gusti personali.

Il punto è che, questo concerto, come ha detto Hika - e credo sia un aggettivo perfetto - è sottotono.
Boh, poi non so se ci avevano abituate troppo bene, ma...

L'MC è un bell'enigma...
Pensavo che l'avesse tagliato la tipa che ha caricato il concerto, ma mi hanno detto che la somma del tempo delle due parti dà quella che è segnata tipo su YesAsia, per cui non esiste proprio...
Oh! Che cose strane...
Che poi quell'MC era splendido... Con Aiba vestito da scolaretta e giocavano tutti a nascondino .____.'

Ci fanno perdere le cose migliori...

Well it's kinda th problem that they've gathered more and more songs over all those years that one concert hasn't enough time for all old and new hits...

I think the weather was really a problem for the DVD. They has to use a lot of playback. I really wonder how the sound was on that day. I attended a stadium concert with rain before. When it rains so much there are a lot of sound problems.
I wonder if they plan a dome DVD too...? Well, I don't really think so.
Which songs do you think/know are definitely playback? Besides Aiba-chan's solo -.-

You're right. There are lot of old songs I would love to see again in a concert, but obviously they can't sing ALL of them :( But at least hose in the last album... (also because Negai is one of my favourites of BW D:)

In the first place, they shouldn't have choosen that date for the DVD ._.
The boys were great, doing a concert in those conditions, but the rain ruined months' work... and it surely was a problem for the audio too. The fact is that also in previous concerts (the previous one, for example) there was lot of playback D:

In the first half of the concert there wasn't so much, tbh, while in the 2nd one there was a lot O_O A girl above makes me notice that, for example, 5x10 was playback :/
Also, rarely the playback is used for the whole song... they use it for most of refrains and rarely for solo parts (if I remember correctly, douring Scene concert Aiba never sang live... but well, they choose a date when he had no voice, so... o.o)

It's not they don't sing live at all, they do, and more than what we get to hear. (I never attended a concert but I listened to some audio recordings) But then JE edit the audio for the DVD. If you go and watch the cuts aired during Shonen Club Works, which are taken from the same date of the DVD, you can hear that 5x10 was live, but in the DVD they edited it, it's a shame! ç_ç

That said, all the solos except Nino's -and I think most probably Sho's- were playback from the start.

I didn't hear a damn thing about the new concert yet but... I'm not really happy to read about this T_T

I think so, too, but that's JE for you =_=''' It's always been like this, but everytime I foolishly hope they would stop doing these stupid things. Unfortunately they never fail to disappoint my expectations. =_= I don't remember so much editing for 5x10 DVD ç_ç I'm tired of playing the "Playback, or not?" game everytime a DVD comes out!

Nino's solo was a big surprise, because after listening to a couple of concert recordings, I thought the first and last stanza were playback because they sounded too CD-like, but or I was wrong, or at least during kokuritsu concert he sang the whole song live, good boy! :D
