I am starting to forget what I have watched this fall, so maybe it's time to write the usual (?) recap post.
There are a few things aired in winter too, since it's already the end of January /facepalm
There will probably be typos and/or grammatical horrors, bear with me.

I also watched two Specials aired this winter: Dekinai Futari, which is a nice, short, romance drama, and 99.9, which reminded me once again how much I love this series. It makes my head hurt (especially when I start to sub it ;_;) but I love it, it's clever, crazy and perfect. I can't wait for the movie even though it will really be the last Miyama's adventure ;_;
I'm also in the middle of Koi Desu because only the first 6 episodes have been subbed so far, but I'm loving it ♥

When I say "super short" I mean it.
In alphabetical order because I'm too tired to think about anything else

Avalanche
Ayano I love u so much.
Seems like he chose again a nice project (I don't get how he chooses things, I swear. Beautiful dramas next to atrocities).

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha
Honestly, I don't really watch Kdramas anymore, there are just few things that spark my interest. I think this one is the 1st I watch this year, but I read only good things about it and got curious.
I'm absolutely loving it ;_; It heals my heart ;_;
Seems like the main actor is a piece of shit, but they revealed it when I had already started watching the drama, so I'm not dropping it.

Kieta Hatsukoi
BABIES. ALL OF THEM.
It's adorable and I'm hurting. The first 2 episodes put the biggest smile on my face, then the pain started with the 3rd one. Still, adorable.

Koi Desu: Yankee-kun to Hakujou Garu
I'm a clown because this wasn't on my list, but I read few comments saying it was really good and OH MY GOD GO AND WATCH IT.
I cried watching the 1st episode because it was too adorable, and almost did while watching the 2nd one.
It's SO GOOD. She is a little heart and he is best boy material ;_;

Super Rich
The drama itself seems nice but. I have a problem.
I can't seem to separate the characters Machida Keita and Akaso Eiji play from KuroDachi, and it's affecting a bit my watching experience (both in a good and in a bad way). But I love them, Your Honor.
Needless to say, after the 1st episode I spent a Friday night rewatching all Cherry Magic.

I haven't watched everything that was on my list (plus one title I got interested in later on), but in the last 2 weeks or so I managed to finish most of what I wanted to watch, I'm satisfied.
We are going from worst to best, I warn you.
Also, today I can't seem to know English, so bear with me, I'm Tired.

Ok, so, I don’t know if:
a) Japan is making better dramas
b) I’m getting better at choosing what to watch
c) My standards are getting lower
Because we have another season where I liked basically everything I watched (and I watched a lot of things AND I liked some of them A LOT). It’s a good thing, but it also means that now I fear every new season, because it can’t always go well.

Let’s start because there’s a lot to talk about (and most of it will be me rambling).

In the end I dropped Kakenai because the first episode bored me a bit but also made me anxious. If I read around that it was really good I might go back to it later.
If I have time (well, with this neverending lockdown I should have it), before next season I want to try Nijiiro no Karute because I read that a lot of people loved it.

I’m still in the middle of Kikenna Venus because the subber did until the 5th episode. It seems ok, there’s a bit of mystery but nothing ground-breaking. Yoshitaka Yuriko’s character is unsufferable and suits perfectly her annoying way of talking.
Before winter season starts, I want to watch most of Suits 2, but dear lord, it’s 15 episodes long.

I have to say, I'm not really inspired by anything, this fall. But, but, do you remember the 865 dramas I put in my list for  last summer? Well, I have tried and dropped 2 of them, and completed only ONE, Nagi no Oitoma - which I really really liked, ESPECIALLY FOR TAKAHASHI ISSEI'S CHARACTER WHICH WAS THE BEST THING OF THE SHOW AND I LOVE HIM DEEPLY HE WAS A DISASTER HUMAN BEING.
Anyway. The others, I haven't even tried them. I don't know, maybe I'm not in the mood. Maybe this summer I was too busy ruining my life with The Untamed.
Back to business, for this fall I have selected only 3 dramas, I'm not excited about any of them but I hope that at least one will be good.

It was, overall, a really nice season (finally!), even though, as always, I didn't manage to watch everything that was on my watchlist: I've only watched 2 episodes of Repeat (which didn't seem bad, so I'll finish it when I have time) and Kimi ga Kokoro ni Sumitsuita is being subbed in these days, so I'm going to wait. The one with Ichihara Hayato didn0t get any subs but I haven't heard anyone talking about it, so maybe it was nothing special.

99.9 Season 2
I haven't finished it yet, but I can already say that I have loved every second of it. It's so dumb and clever at the same time, well written, well acted, never boring and did I mention dumb?? It's just a lot of fun, I love it.
And I appreciate that they changed up things a bit from the previous season, both with adding Ozaki (who I probably like even more than Tachibana) and with exploring a different problem of Japanese legal system (the judges); also, in the first season you could guess who the culprit was in the middle of the episode, this time I feel it was harder. So yeah, the general scheme and feel was the same, but with some small changes, so I didn't get the feel of seeing season 1 all over again.
It was good that in the first episodes they talked again about Miyama's father case, for once we have a Jdrama that actually ends without leaving something to the imagination!
Anyway, I loved it so much. I would watch many more seasons, but I get that would be hard to make XD

Unnatural
Nogi Akiko keeps delivering. When she writes this kind of dramas (focused on some job and the characters relationships) she produces jewels. Do I give a fuck about forensic pathologists? Very little. Did I love this drama? Absolutely yes. It's just the way the characters were written, the way they interacted, the relationships between them. This time there was also some kind of mystery, so even better.
It's still not at the level of Soratobu Kouhoushitsu (because there we had that beautiful love story too and the characters were TOO GOOD), but still, a beautiful drama.
I loved Mikoto (and I appreciate a lot that in the last years Ishihara Satomi is playing something different from the "dumb pretty chick in love"), Rokuro was a lil cute puppy, and while at the beginning I really didn't get Nakado, after like... 2 episodes, I started liking him a lot too.

Todome no Kiss
Okay. It was trash, but the good kind of trash, and it also had some nice points (Yamazaki Kento's face being one of them).
The plot was... not dumb, but with some cliches. Guy with ruined childhood becomes a jerk who only cares about money, is hot, find a dumb rich girl and tries to "catch" her. The good thing was the time slips and, most of all, how they used them. I think they used the time travelling stuff in a very clever way, because the more the story went on, the more "complex" everything got, and in the end the drama was never once predictable.
The ending really surprised me as well, and I really liked how they decided to do it. I did not expect that.
So yeah, not a masterpiece, the characters were a bit weak, but overall I enjoyed it, especially towards the end.

Kuragehime
I'll be quick: everything was waaaaay over the top, for my liking. I get that was their intention, that the manga is like that too, but I prefer something different. Characters that weird and exasperated are just hard to connect with.
I'm not saying it was bad, I still watched it without problems (some bits were fun too), but it's not my cup of tea.
